"Jack, are you a Jag-U-R?"

A couple of weeks ago we had a cool experience. Jack and I were sitting in our home playing with Everett when our neighbor Hannah knocks on the door. Rushing in she asks, (English accent) "Jack? Are you a Jaguar?" (they pronounce it Jag-U-R)
Jack says, "Yes"
Hannah proceeds, "Did you go to West Jordan?"
Puzzled, he replies, "Yes, why?"
Hannah then says, "Do you know a Spencer Love? Because he is over at my parents having Tea!"
Jack ran over and sure enough there was Elder Love. Elder Love and Jack went to school together and he was also at SUU. Elder Love could not believe it, and the reason for his shock and astonishment was this amazing story. In his words he said:

"When I came on my mission I asked Heavenly father for three things. First, that my mom becomes active in the church. Secondly, that my twin brother goes on a mission. And thirdly, I asked to let me meet someone on my mission that I knew. My first two prayers have been answered, my mom returned to the church and my brother is serving in Washington. Now, my third prayer has been answered."

"Not only do I know Jack but I look up to him and always have. He was the quarterback that all of the guys had to live up to. We all wanted to wear white cleats and a white cloth hanging from our side to look like him. You give me one person who knows Jack and they won't be able to tell you one bad thing about him. Jack Roberts! Wait till I tell my friends and family at home, they won't believe it."
Elder Love (middle in the photo below) said so many other nice things.

When anyone asks me, "Why England? Why quit good jobs, leave a beautiful house, family and friends behind; why leave with a new born baby?" Well we can't explain why, we just knew that we had to come. Sometimes Jack will turn to me and say, "What were we thinking? What are we doing out here?"
Other times I will say to him, "That's is it! Everett and I are leaving on the next flight." But, I guess the best things in life aren't easy are they? It is amazing to see blessings like Elder Love's come to pass, and for us to take part of it makes this experience worth while. We have been blessed in so many different ways, and this journey here truly has paid off. I am grateful for promptings of the spirit and for this amazing gospel. Our faith has surely been tested and we are so much stronger for it.

The following week we had Elder Moss (American too) and Elder Love for dinner. At long last Jack was able to throw a football with some Americans. We had a wonderful time.

Here is Hannah and Everett

Picture Moment!

I thought I would end my post with this adorable picture of Everett that we took that night. Here he is in all his glory in Ella's pretend stroller! I was holding my breath hoping it wouldn't break.

why england? that's a silly question. Now is the time in life to be adventurous. We only live once, so do all the crazy things that life has to offer! I'm certain you guys will remember this year with fondness and how COOL it is that you lived there and have made good friends. Now I'm just waiting for our turn!

It is amazing how "coincidences happen to let us know that we are loved and cared for by a loving God..even in the little things. Everett looks like he has grown!
