Well I had my appointment today with high hopes that baby had turned, but no such luck. My little man is determined to stay snuggled up under my ribs on my right side (which explains the back ache and numbness in that area). So I have been scheduled for next monday to go into the Labor and Delivery unit take a few drugs to relax my uterus and have them attempt to flip him over, If it works great! If not they will schedule me for a c-section. Also by flipping him next week we also run the risk of starting my labor. But, if we don't at least try I am looking at a c-section which I want to avoid if I can. I'm not worried, I am just hoping for a healthy baby.

Oh, you poor thing! That sounds painful! They wouldn't even bother trying to flip it so early over here. It's funny how different the approach is. I hope you don't need a C-section. The thought just frightens me! Good luck! xx
Sarah, Mara was that way the entire time I was pregnant with her. I tried everything to flip her. I would sit at night and talk to her and tell her to turn, I went swimming hoping that the anti-gravity would flip her(that actually worked, then she flipped back) I laid with my hips up on the couch and my head down on the floor. I finally just got in a nice hot bath with ginger and relaxed and stayed in for about an hour, and she flipped and I went into labor. I just absolutely refused to even consider a c-section and I think she finally got the message! don't give up, try those things YOu don't have to have a c-section, just put your mind to it. Good luck! Melanie
P.s. If you want a good read for your last few weeks of pregnancy, I just finished reading "Birth: the surprising history of how we are born." and was facinated. If you have time I highly recommend it.
I'm sure everything will turn out fine. And don't ask Megan yet (Sav isn't old enough for her to give you an objective opinion) but if you do end up with a c-section, you will probably be tramatized at the moment they tell you but you will heal, and life will go on and you will be just fine. Plus I gaurentee no matter how bad you don't want one you would get one 10 times if it meant getting your baby here safe. 2 things to have if you have to go the c-section route are night gowns and a wedge pillow from BB&B for when you come home from the hospital. Good luck and we'll all pray that they are able to turn him. :)
Still breached!? I found out at my last appointment that my little girly did finally turn, but I totally can understand those rib pains!! Hopefully they can get him flipped, but on the other hand, I wasn't against having an exact delivery date to plan on! Keep me updated...let's just say I'll be very jealous if you do go into labor before me! (jealous but oh so happy for you as well) ;)
hey Sarah I have had two C sections. Colton was an emergency and my first ceserean. It is not as bad as you think. It will all work out. Try to relax. YOu never know. He still has time to turn.
