The ROOF

I have gotten a few requests to embellish  on our "roof story". So, here it goes.

Last Wednesday I was in the kitchen lovingly cooking dinner for the family. Everett was in the living room watching a show while Harry was in the kitchen sitting in his little rocker chair 'cooing' up at me. Jack was also in the Kitchen telling me about his day and how crazy the wind outside was getting. Just as those words escaped his mouth CRACK! WHAM! BOOM! Everett ran into my arms while Jack scooped up Harry. We bolted for the door for fear our house was falling down. As we ran out the front door the roof blocked our path for it was now on our front lawn.

Whew, no one got hurt and as I sit here, I am typing to the banging of hammers and nail guns. Thank goodness for home insurance and also to the fact that we only rent the home. Here is the after math of the storm.

I still can't believe your roof blew off! That is the craziest thing ever. Your right, thank goodness for insurance and that your renting so you really don't have to worry about that part of it. You just have to deal with the banging and hammering. Hopefully it will be over soon:) take care and hang in there!
