A Special Day

Today is a special day. You want to know why? Well one year ago today is the day that we were given our beautiful little Harrison. We have loved every minute of him being in this world. Life's sweet moments with Everett got even sweeter, the love in our hearts swelled beyond where we thought they could, and the spirit in our home grew stronger. The brotherly love Everett and Harry have for each other shows how much they loved each other in Heaven. Their closeness in age shows how they couldn't wait to be with each other here on earth. I love my beautiful boys, they are my greatest accomplishment in life.

My dearest Harrison,

            One year ago today your father and I awoke at 5:30 am and drove to the hospital for our scheduled C-section. (You were a breached baby and I did all I could to turn you around, but you knew that wasn't possible for the cord was wrapped around your body. You reassured me before you came out that you were alright and to let the doctors do what they needed to do.) We checked in, and got ready for one of the biggest days of our lives. At 7:21 am you were born. As I lay there on the table I heard your beautiful cry, your father saw you first and told me how beautiful you were. The nurses rinsed you off as your father stayed by my side holding my hand and stroking my face telling me everything of your wonderful delivery. Then, they brought you to me. You were perfect, words can't express.  They then took you to the recovery room to wait for me while they stitched me up. Everything went so well, there were no complications. You have been our peaceful happy baby ever since. Everett smothered you in kisses from the moment he saw you and still continues to do so. I love you Harrison we are so proud of your amazing gift to make people smile and to love unconditionally. Happy Birthday son.
