It's Late...

It's 12:45 am. I am usually the one who is passed out by ten. Not tonight. I am drinking in the fact that I actually have a husband sleeping next to me tonight. Jack has been gone all week and was gone last week too. I don't know how single mothers do it, there for sure is a special place in heaven for them. Jack travels a lot. I am not complaining. I miss him like crazy and last week was awful and I actually couldn't help but think that I was done having kids. That was last week. This week was amazing. The kids were awesome and we had a wonderful time. We missed daddy, but I filled in on all of his fatherly duties like playing 'Tiger' just before bed. We all get on our hands and knees and chase each other eating/tickling. Its a hoot.

Jane is finally sleeping through the night at 8 months old. We have seriously not slept for a year. I finally was so fed up that I told Jack (we are both softies) that no matter what we do not pick her up in the night. So, last week we were letting her cry it out when Jack goes in and grabs Everett (they share a room, Harry is by himself) because he felt sorry for Everett to have to listen to her cry. To our amazement she did cry it out and then did not wake until morning. LIGHT BULB!!! BING!!! It's not that she is a bad sleeper she is a LiGhT SleEPER! Everett is a noisy sleeper! He makes tons of noises in the night which I experienced first hand. So, anytime he would make a noise it would wake her up. Now, Everett and Harry sleep together and they are either yelling at each other before bed or they are laughing uncontrollably. Life is so much better when you can sleep through the night.

Projects. When Jack is away I throw myself into projects so not to feel so lonely. It's working. I really wish our camera worked, I am really tired of not having pictures to back up my writings. I have so far, reupholstered a chair, finished our silhouettes, almost finished decorating the living room, and started decorating the kids rooms. But, I am also really thrifty and do things for way little cost, that is really half the fun! Finishing a project and feeling like it looks so expensive and would have been except I did it myself. I will post pictures eventually....maybe tomorrow, we'll see.

Everett is still loving school I love sending him off and picking him up, its the cutest thing ever. Harry adores Everett and wants to be like him. The conflict in our house is due to the fact that Harry just wants to do everything Everett does. I have had to explain to Everett just how cool he is that Harry wants to be like him. We're working on it.

Jane: seriously, when you pick her up out of her crib she grins so big she just might explode. I am so in love with this little girly of mine.

I need to keep up on my daily interactions with these little guys they are hilarious.

Awesome moment of the Day: Everett and Harry playing 'Puppies' while I fed them puppy treats (cookies) and Jack coming home.

Not so Awesome: My best friend Betsy (love her to pieces) having to fish a nasty peed nasty diaper out of the toilet that Harry threw in. I heard her say "Oh, no" I called from the kitchen "What????" Sweet Betsy: "Nothing, everything is fine" me:"no really what?" Betsy:"Harry just threw a pee soaked diaper in the toilet and was playing with it". I just love how casual she was with the whole thing.

Betsy: She is an awesome friend and we are on the same page when it comes to a ton of things. We love vintage style and we are not afraid to get our hands dirty sifting through nasty stuff to find it. We rock. She's amazing.

Jack: He loves his job and really we are so grateful for this job. We love our little family and are seriously just hanging on for the ride. Life is crazy, and apparently in our case it gets crazier and crazier by the second.
