Diddlly Dee.

We are home. Friday morning we met my parents in Kaysville to drop off the kids while Jack and I escaped for two days to St. George. We first stopped in Cedar City to hang out with Grandpa. My Grandpa Jorgensen is 89 yrs. old and is still as sharp as ever. We went out to the ranch where he has his five horses. Grandpa has been driving out to the ranch twice every day for who knows how long to take care of his babies. We rode Honey Chex who was incredibly lazy and knew that I especially was a push over and would not move no matter how hard I dug in my heels. We then ate at Sizzlers and listened to war stories. Jack and I polished off the night with a movie "Source Code" (eh? the jury is still out on that one) The next morning we ate at a Classy Diner for breakfast (haha. very classy). All in all a wonderful trip with Grandpa we only wish we lived closer so we could see him more.

Off to St. George to spend our Saturday. We shopped at the Outlets and kept feeling like we were forgetting something...duh...three kids. wierd feeling. We walked around hand in hand enjoying every second we could alone, ah, just us. We felt gross after the day before of eating on the road, along with sizzler plus the 'classy diner', so we decided to check into our hotel and get a good workout/swim in. Swimming was amazing. How long has it been since I was actually in a pool and not having to worry about my children?.....uh....way too long. It was heaven. Except Jack kept wanting to play 'Locknest' so there wasn't much relaxing. We were giggling like crazy....okay scratch that I was 'giggling' Jack well he was laughing in a manly manner :).

The whole point of this trip was to see my good friend from my childhood get married. I honestly had not seen Rachel in 10 years! What??? Nuts. She was a stunning bride and we were so honored to be at the ceremony. Leticia is best friends with Rachel and was down for the wedding with Shawn. I loved hangnig out with them, so much fun. That night we went to the reception out at the Bride and Groom's Cafe/resteraunt located in Kayenta. Amazing! Incredible views of red rock cliffs. The food was amazing, the music was great, and the company was awesome. The best reception I have been to. I wish we had pictures of the event it was all held outside and the weather was perfect. We polished the night off eating some more at the 'Brick Oven' (not impressed).

Rachel and Greg sealing the deal- May 14, 2011

Later that night after the reception- Jack dared me to take a full posed shot in the resteraunt. I love that I keep surprising him, bring it on.

Much needed.

While we were enjoying FreedOm, the adorable 'chillens' were enjoying Grandma and Grandpa time. We were not missed, and I am glad!

The Kids had a great time. We won't be hearing the end of wanting to go up to "Grandma and Grandpa's". Best babysitters EVER.

Good for you guys! I always feel guilty taking those times away from the kids but they are much needed.

Two things to take note on in this post. Firstly, the photo of Sarah when she is posing in the restaurant looks like no one was there, but there were other tables you can't see in the photo watching me dare Sarah to model for me and my camera. Secondly, the photo of Sarah and me only confirms my fears that I am thinning desipite Sarah's encouraging denial of it. Heaven have mercy on my hair!
